Jennifer Muldowney (AKA "The Glam Reaper" tells us of an event she's inviting the IBO community to, celebrating her 15 years in business.

She says, "All are welcome! Its free and free food and drink with Irish influences and Niall O’Leary will be performing a special number ;-)"

Sept 27th, Sanctuary on Roosevelt Island

    RSVP LINK https://forms.gle/AQVbTFNcoZVBze5h8

    INVITE LINK https://mailchi.mp/92b22656500c/a-celebration-of-life

Jennifer will also be appearing at a hybrid event on November 1 - from the event notice, available at https://luminary-legacy.us.hivebrite.com/events/60795

Welcome to the fourth and FINAL happy hour in a series discussing the final taboo - Death... but over desserts and drinks!

Irish Luminary member Jennifer Muldowney and special guests are experts in death and funerals and we have been discussing elements of this taboo subject over a series in the last year. Ask anyone who has been - we do it in a new, easy listening, (even fun!) palatable way. We promise you won't regret attending!

This Hallowe'en and Irish themed Happy Hour will leave you feeling informed about your options for creating a will, looking after your estate (or that of your parents), preplanning and having that awkward conversation no one wants to have. We will also talk Bucket Lists - we all have (or should have!) one!

Known as The Glam Reaper and like her podcast of the same name, Jennifer will provide expert information about this end of life planning. There will be a mini-workshop after the panel discussion and you will leave motivated to get out there and live life to the max from hereafter!

We've had a note in from our friends over at Women with Ambition.

Women with Ambition is delighted to announce our first ever Women with Ambition Female Entrepreneurs & Founders Expo on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 here in New York City — and we would love for you to be involved!

We are inviting female-led organizations to have an exhibit station at this first-of-its-kind Expo. This is a wonderful opportunity to sell your products/services, promote your brand in-person to Irish and American consumers and network with other female entrepreneurs and founders.

If you are interested in having an exhibit station at our Founder & Entrepreneur Expo, please complete the application form

Given the high level of interest, we will send out confirmation as to whether we have capacity to offer you an exhibit station.

    What is Women with Ambition?

Women with Ambition is a professional network of Irish and Irish American women working and living in New York and the Tri-State area. We provide a space for women to huddle together to connect more deeply, form a meaningful network, and take some time to focus on intentional self-development—all while supporting and celebrating each other as we strive for our individual career goals, successes and ambitions.

At Women with Ambition, while we pursue our individual goals, collectively we create a community that is redefining ambition together.

Why is Women with Ambition creating this Expo?

Since Women with Ambition launched in February 2022, through our many conversations and events, we have been hearing from female-led business owners about their desire for a platform where they can both promote and create visibility for their brand, while also networking in a community of like-minded women to share experiences, garner support, and learn from each other.

Please reach out with any additional questions, we’d be happy to discuss further, and hope to have you involved in this exciting new venture.

Leitrim County Council is sponsoring both a cultural event on Thursday April 6th and a business event on Friday April 7th leading up to the Leitrim vs NY Connacht Senior Football match at Gaelic Park on Saturday April 8th. Both events are at The Rambling House in Woodlawn, Bronx NY. The business event focuses on job and investment opportunities in Leitrim which is experiencing a post-Covid surge in popularity.

Details below are from irishecho.com. Anyone wishing to attend should contact Emer Connolly at: emer.connolly@leitrimcoco.ie

Team Leitrim sets sporting and business goals for New York trip

March 19, 2023 by Anthony Neeson

When Leitrim fans arrive in the Big Apple next month to take on New York in the Connacht Senior Football Championship, they'll be seeking more than just a victory on the field.

For in the vanguard of the Green & Gold travelling contingent will be a high-powered delegation keen to promote the county as the perfect landing place in Ireland for Americans investors and visitors.

On the evening before the Easter Saturday (8 April) game, the group will stage a Leitrim showcase in The Rambling House on Katonah Avenue in the Bronx.

"We are seeking to create a network of persons, including young people in business in the US, who are interested in hearing of the investment and job opportunities in County Leitrim," explains former IDA chief and Leitrim native Padraic White.

Since the start of the Covid pandemic, Ireland's least-populous county has found itself on an upward trajectory, in part fuelled by an influx of professionals who are able to work remotely from Lovely Leitrim. Tourism Ireland's 'Hidden Heartlands' campaign has also attracted record numbers of tourists to the country's least-populous county.

Joining the business delegation to the Big Apple will be two of the county's premier businesses: software company Cora Systems and med-tech innovator VistaMed. Both are keen to lure professionals to take up positions in their growing companies - either Americans or Irish American returnees.

Representing Cora Systems, which sells its software products in 53 countries and has 53 staff in the US, will be principal engineer Keith Dimmock — a Yorkshire man who married Leitrim woman Michelle Reynolds and then relocated to her home county where he joined the surging software company. However, Keith's duties will extend beyond pitching for Cora Systems at the investment reception for the next day he will be pitch-side in Gaelic Park fulfilling his role at kit-man for the Leitrim senior football team.

Among the other speakers at the Leitrim reception will be Brian Conroy, Head of IDA, North America and Lar Power, Chief Executive of Leitrim County Council while facilitating the initiative will be Leitrim powerhouse in Yonkers, Caitríona Clarke of JP Clarke's. The event will run from 6-7pm at The Rambling House, 4292 Katonah Avenue, The Bronx, New York 10470. If interested in attending, please email Emer Connolly at Leitrim County Council.
