Evelyn Vera & Kevin Mannion are the FBI’s Community Outreach Specialists for the New York Field Office which includes all of NYC, Long Island and the Lower Hudson Valley.  They are responsible for the FBI’s outreach to religious, ethnic, civic and community organizations in addition to educating the general public about the FBI’s Crime Prevention Programs.  Evelyn was the first person in New York to hold the title of Community Outreach Specialist and has been with the program since its inception.

Evelyn has over 30 years’ experience with the FBI and previously served in the FBI’s Training Unit where she was responsible for the training of federal, state & local law enforcement bomb technicians, the FBI’s National Academy Program and the Law Enforcement Executive Development Program, among others.  Kevin has been with the FBI for over 7 years. Before joining the FBI, Kevin was an NYPD detective assigned to the FBI’s Organized Crime Task Force.
