The tri-state is pushing ahead with post-Covid reopening plans, with all three states "lifting almost all their pandemic restrictions, paving the way for a return to fuller offices and restaurants, a more vibrant nightlife and a richer array of cultural and religious gatherings for the first time since lockdown," The New York Times.*

The IBO-NY Women's Networking Committee cordially invites you to a virtual open mic networking lunch on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from Noon to 1:30 pm to explore the recovery in our region and communities and new beginnings.

We'll start where many of our Irish ancestors started their new beginnings — Ellis Island — which served for decades as America’s busiest immigration station. Patti Golden, Director of Sales for Evelyn Hill Inc. at the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island, will share the inspirational story of Ireland's Annie Moore, Ellis Island's first immigrant. Annie arrived at Ellis Island on New Year’s Day, 1892, also her 15th birthday, with her two younger brothers in tow and excited to join her parents in America. 

Patti, who recently completed the Pandemic Compliance Advisor program for meeting and event planners, will walk us through the steps she and her team have taken to welcome back visitors and start planning events.
