What AI Becomes After the Rush:
Real Solutions from the Ground Up
Guest Speaker Gene Moran
Gene will share an approachable overview of AI in business, telling the story of how we got here, from early experiments to today's rapid evolution, and where we might be headed next. We'll balance the exciting possibilities with grounded realities, exploring what it truly means for professionals and business owners in everyday work. The focus will be on the outcomes that come after the AI hype cycle and the AI fatigue, illustrated through real-world use cases with immediate steps and longer-term strategies to start using it in professional ways.
ABOUT GENE MORAN:
Gene Moran, a New Jersey native and New York resident, is a Solutions Architect at hyperexponential, an a16z-backed insurtech startup. A graduate of Bergen Catholic High School and Marquette University with a degree in Information Systems, he has 6+ years working in tech across various startups and tech companies, focusing on connecting teams with practical technology solutions.

Highlighting The Irish Workhouse Centre In Portumna, County Galway Ireland
The Irish Workhouse System, The Most Hated Institution In Irish History
The Great Famine, also known as the Great Hunger, and the Irish Potato Famine, was a period of mass starvation and disease in Ireland lasting from 1845 to 1852 and beyond, that constituted a historical social crisis and had a major impact on Irish society and history.
At one time there were 163 workhouses in total. The Irish Workhouse Centre is one of only a few workhouses that survived intact and serves as a workhouse museum in Portumna, on the Galway/Tipperary boarder.
